Comenius Boys are the Development Division champions! They defeated Comenius Anita Girls by 160 runs to end up unbeaten and on top of the league. Kristof hit an unbeaten 74 and Atka was not out for 45 in their total of 212-7 off 20 overs, then Szabi took 3 wickets as the girls were all out for just 52 |
Brigi Hotea took 3 wickets and Zoli Mago hit 34 runs as a combined Baggy Blues / Comenius team beat the English touring team Banbury CC card |

A Comenius Fiúk és a Comenius Anita Lányok csapata is győzelmet aratott a Tazmán Ördögök csapata ellen augusztus 30.-án vasárnap. A sztár ütők Kristóf (20 not out), Barnabás (21) valamint a lányok csapatában Claudia (20 not out) és Andy (aki mindkétszer az Ördögök csapatában játszott (23 not out és 20 not out)) voltak |

Comenius played superbly to beat Maribor and win the Motvarjevci Invitational Cup in Slovenia on Sunday 21st June. Andy scored 35, Krisztian 23, David 15 in the Comenius total of 122-9, then Kristof took 5 wickets, Brigi and Andy 2 each to bowl Maribor out for just 38 to win by 84 runs

A Comenius csapat nagyszeruen helytállt a Maribor csapat ellen és megnyerte a Motvarjevci Nemzetközi Kupát Szlovéniába Június 21-én. Andy 35 pontot szerzett, Krisztián 23-at, Dávid 15-öt, így 122-9re állt a csapat, majd Kristóf 5 wicketet szerzett, Andy és Brigi pedig 2-2 embert ejtettek ki az ellenfél csapatból akik 38 pontot mondhattak a magukénak

Friday 24th - Sunday 26th August
9 players travelled by train to Maribor and then were taken to the tournament location in Mezica
They played 4 matches in the tournament: 2 group matches (victory over the hosts, followed by a big loss to the tournament favourites), the semi-final against the Slovakian team (won thanks to wickets from Zoli and big scores from Kristof and Andy), the final (a closer encounter with the strongest team, Velden Veterans, with Comenius losing with one over to go)
To get to the final was a great achievement and everybody played their part |

9 játékos vonattal utazott Mariborba ahonnan később a meccsek színhelyére, Mežicába vitték őket
A versenyen 4 meccset játszottak: 2 csoport mérkőzést (melyben nyertek a házigazdák ellen, majd veszítettek a verseny legerősebb csapata ellen). Később a Szovákia elleni elődöntő (nyertek, Zoli dobásainak és Kristóf és Andy ütéseinek) amit a döntő követett ahol szoros játszmában vereséget szenvedtek a győztes Velden Veterans ellen

A döntőbe való eljutás nagy eredmény volt melyből mindenki kivette a maga részét |

10 players travelled to the tournament, but lost both matches to the experienced national Slovakian team and to Slovenian side Bela Krajina, so they didn't make the semi-finals
The bowling and fielding of Comenius were tight, but the batting let the side down |

We lost our first two matches to Velden and Mezica, but both were close and we should have won the second match
We won our last two matches against Bela Krajina and Maribor quite easily to win the cup for third place
Zoli (average: 37) and Atka batted superbly, the bowling was good, but the fielding was up and down (Andy messed up two run-outs against Mezica, but got one against Bela Krajina, while Claudia had a superb direct hit from backward point against them) |
